Abstract

1,106,022. Bearings. BURMEISTER & WAIN'S MASKIN-OG SKIBSBYGGERI A.S. 1 April, 1966 [2 April, 1965], No. 14530/66. Heading F2A. A method of dismounting the bottom part of a split bearing liner for a shaft, comprises supplying oil under pressure between the part and a stationary support, and rotating the shaft and liner part together. The upper lining part and its support are first removed. In Fig. 1 a member 11 is attached to a crank-shaft to engage bottom liner part 4, fluid is supplied through bores 10 in the support 5, and the crank-shaft and member 11 are rotated until. liner part 4 is removable. In Fig. 2 (not shown) fluid supply bores 12 are formed in the bottom liner part 4.
