Abstract

1,104,981. Paper-making apparatus. FELDMUHLE A.G. 8, Feb., 1965 [7, Feb., 1964], No. 5433/65. Heading D2A. A deflector, for supporting the wire between the table rolls and preventing water thrown off one table roll from collecting on adjacent table roll, has the wire engaging portions composed of a hard ceramic sintered material - see Specification 1,103,278 - and divided across the width of the wire into a multiplicity of separate sections. The sections are secured to housing 21 by adhesive - for example an epoxy resin -, and/or by screws 24 with a cover 26 of sintered material thereover, or by clamp means as in Specification 1,103.251. There may be an intermediate layer as in Specification 1,103,251.
