Abstract

1,103,251. Paper-making apparatus. FELDMUHLE A.G. 8 Feb., 1965 [7 Feb., 1964], No. 5431/65. Heading D2A. A forming board positioned immediately downstream of the breast roller in a papermaking machine has the wire-contacting surfaces 13, 14 composed of a hard ceramic sintered material (see Specification 1,103,278) and divided across the width of the wire into a multiplicity of separate sections. The sections are secured to housing 11 by adhesive-for example an epoxy resin-and/or by clamping means, a shown, or by screws, as in application 5433/65. There maybe an intermediate layer 17 of rubber, cork, leather or packing paper, between the clamp means 17 and the surfaces 13, 14 and/or housing 11, or between surfaces 13 and 14 and the housing 11.
