In a tyre curing mould comprising sidewall mould parts 11, 12 and radially movable tread forming mould segments 30 which are brought into engagement with the tyre crown after the tyre blank has been located between the parts 11, 12 and inflated by an air bag B, the segments 30 are moved radially independently of the parts 11, 12 by a series of hydraulic piston and cylinder motors 41 which interconnect the adjacent ends of the segments.
