Abstract

1,102,212. Valves. W. J. C. TRYTHALL. 10 Sept., 1964 [21 Oct., 1963], No. 41480/63. Heading F2V. [Also in Division B8] A valve for switching the flow between a pneumatic conveyer pipeline 2, Fig. 1, and a multiplicity of alternative pipelines 4 comprises a curved pipe portion 9 rotatable about the axis of the main pipeline 2 for alignment with curved pipes 7 leading to the pipelines 4. The pipe portion 9 is attached to a conical dished plate 5 which is rotatable within a complementary dished plate 6 to which the ends of the pipe portion 7 are attached. The dished plates 5, 6 are held in sealing engagements by a spring and lock-nut assembly 17 surrounding a shaft 15 by which the member 5 is rotated.
