Abstract
1,101,903. Valves. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. 15 April, 1966 [15 April, 1965], No. 16588/66. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F4] A valve body has a through passage 14 with an intermediate chamber 22 into which opens another passage 15 so forming a T-shaped duct; the outer ends of the passages comprise sockets for pipe connections. The end walls of the chamber are conical to provide seatings 23, 24 for a shuttle valve 25 axially movable in but of smaller diameter than the chamber 22; the valve has axial guiding pins 28, 29 and conical ends with a smaller conicity than the seats 23, 24. Passage 15 is connected to a pair of motors (30, 31, Fig. 2, not shown), one end of passage 14 to another motor (32) and a control valve (36), and the other end of passage 14 to two motors (33, 34) and another control valve (35). With either one of the control valves (35, 36) in the exhaust position and the other control valve in the supply position, the associated motors (32) or (33, 34) are operated and the valve 25 is forced by the pressure fluid against whichever seat is connected to exhaust so supplying pressure fluid to the pair of motors (30, 31). If both control valves are placed in the supply position the valve 25 occupies a position midway between the two seats 23, 24. The motors may operate vehicle ventilating valves and the shuttle valve may be of spherical or cylindrical form.
