[Also in Divisions A4, D1 and F4] A support and securing device for a domestic appliance comprises a wheeled base adapted to support the appliance and which includes first and second co-operating elements, one 19 on the said wheeled base and the other of which is adapted to be mounted on the surface against which the appliance, when supported on said base, is to stand, the second element being constituted by a spring loaded plunger which moves under its spring loading to an engaged position and can be retracted manually against its spring loading to a disengaged position, the first element being constituted by a slotted member 19; the arrangement being such that in use with the wheeled base secured to the underside of a domestic appliance and with the said other co-operating element mounted on said surface, relative translational movement of the elements towards each other in a direction transverse to the direction of movement of the plunger, will cause said slotted member to strike the plunger which is caused to ride up, against its spring loading, a surface of the slotted member and to take up a position in which said plunger moves under its spring loading into a slot in said slotted member to prevent separation of the elements. In the construction shown the plunger is carried by a channel member 30 which has holes in its base by which it is secured to the surface and the side walls of which are provided with aligned holes through which the plunger passes, the plunger being U shaped and loaded by springs 33. An actuating rod or cord 37 is connected to the centre of the plunger by which it can be moved to releasing position. The surface of the slotted member 19 which is engaged by the plunger is a tapering rear edge. The member 19 is secured by nuts and bolts 20 to bars 18 of the base each of which carries a wheel 12 by means of a bracket 13. Each bar 18 is also connected to a further bar 17. which also carries a wheel 12 by means of a bracket 13, the two bars being joined together by a sleeve 16 so that their relative positions are adjustable. Each of the brackets 13 has an upwardly extending screw threaded stud 14 which is screwed into the base of the appliance.
