Abstract

1,101,338. Refrigerating. KRAMER TRENTON CO. 22 Oct., 1965 [13 Nov., 1964], No. 44953/65. Heading F4H. The condenser of a refrigerating system is arranged above the compressor in a casing having a wall provided with a closable servicing opening and an opposite wall having an inlet opening for air which is used to cool the condenser and compressor, the casing being constructed with or connected to a walk-in sheltered servicing space. As shown, the casing 25 includes a partition wall having closable servicing openings 29, 30, a servicing space 33 having a door 33, and a fan which draws air into the casing through the condenser 26 and forces the air through opening 29, space 33 and opening 30 and over the compressor 27. The air is discharged through an opening having a pivotable hood 28. A plurality of compressorcondenser units may be provided along one or both sides of the servicing space (Figs. 1 to 3, not shown) and lights may be provided in the servicing space. The casing may be mounted on the roof 5 of a building. In a modification (Fig. 5, not shown), the servicing space comprises a room of a building in which the casing is installed, the servicing opening being accessible from the room and the casing being in communication with the exterior of the building through a louvred aperture in an external wall of the building.
