Blowers or draw-plates.-A blower for domestic fire-places consists of a sheet of metal of such a width as to leave open spaces at the sides, provided with a knob f attached thereto but heatinsulated therefrom, and with extensions or prongs b for engagement with the top bar of the grate. The knob is preferably attached by a bridge-piece g faced or packed with asbestos as shown in Fig. 3.
