Blowers or draw-plates.-The device is of truncated pyramidal form with its top entering the mouth of the chimney, and is composed of sheetmetal plates a, b, one sliding within the bentover edges of the other so as to provide adjustment of width. Fig. 1 shows a blank for one of the plates with the portion a' to form a slide piece and a portion a<2> to be bent inwardly to serve as a foot. In a modification, a third plate lies in front of the other two to allow cf further adjustment in width. In both cases each plate carries a handle f and there are connecting-chains e.
