Abstract

110,088. Miles, G. Feb. 6, 1917. Hand shears. - A cutter A and a gripper B are fixed to a socket C on a long-arm or pole. Another cutter D and a gripper E, mounted on a pin F, have arms secured together by a pin G, from which extends a rod H connected to a socket slidable on the lower end of the pole. The grippers have serrated edges. The flower &c. severed by the cutters is held by the grippers until the socket or lever is operated to remove it, clearances L. M being pro vided to receive the stem of the flower. The rod H may be arranged inside or outside of the. pole.
