Abstract

1,098,819. Stencilling-apparatus. OWENSILLINOIS, Inc. Sept. 7, 1965 [Sept. 25, 1964], No. 38086/65. Addition to 1,094.063. Heading B6C. A container 12 for powder 10 and a plate 22 supporting an article A to be printed are oppositely electrically charged and between them is placed a grounded wire mesh stencil screen 18 having design areas 20. The bottom of the container is defined by a wire mesh screen 14 and is closed by a plate 16 having an elongated slot therein. By sliding the plate transversely of the slot, by means of a pneumatic motor P, a stream of powder extending the width of the area of the stencil containing the design areas is traversed over said area to produce, under the action of gravity and electrostatic force, the required pattern.
