Abstract

109,846. Wilson, H. C. Sept. 28, 1916. Cleansing-compositions.-A composition containing a fatty acid and a liquid hydrocarbon or a chlorinated derivative of an hydrocarbon is mixed with the ordinary soapy or alkaline water used for washing clothes &c. In examples, oleic acid is mixed with mineral oil, carbon tetrachloride, or turpentine, and the product is added to a washing-liquor containing soap and soda.. The mixture of fatty acid and hydrocarbon &c. may be poured on to the fabric before it is placed in the washing-liquor.
