Abstract

A silicone rubber composition for insulating electrical conductors comprises 100 parts by weight of a diorganopolysiloxane gum; from 1 to 100 parts by weight of a vinyl containing diorganopolysiloxane liquid in which the ratio of vinyl radicals to Si atoms is at least 2.5/1000; 5 to 45 parts by weight of a reinforcing silica filler; from 20 to 200 parts by weight of a non-reinforcing siliceous filler and a vulcanizing agent (e.g. an organic peroxide). The examples relate to compositions containing methylvinyl-siloxane gum together with a methylvinyl-siloxane liquid.
