Abstract

Brackets, lamp.- In that type of support for vehicle or like lamps in which a hook c, Fig. 1, on a lamp engages a staple or like bracket d on the vehicle &c., and a perforated tongue j on the bracket d passes through an aperture in the hook c, a wire coil e engages the perforated tongue to lock the lamp in position. Fig. 3 shows one form of coil. The coil e is formed with a straight part f at one end to facilitate the insertion of the coil, and with the space h between the overlapping parts of the coil gradually diminishing towards the other end so that, when the tongue has been threaded on to the single part of the coil, the overlapping parts will spring together and prevent its return. The perforated tongue may be formed by twisting an extension of the bracket at right-angles as shown in Fig. 1, or by coiling the extension to form an eye-piece.
