Abstract

1,093,941. Ventilators. RADIATION Ltd. June 2, 1964 [June 6, 1963], No. 22570/63. Heading F4V. An air flow control register having a rectangular aperture 2 and including fixed louvres 3 and adjustable louvres 5 is provided with throttle plates 10 which may be fitted over the aperture 2 or detached to vary the maximum air flow crosssection of the register. As illustrated the plates are rectangular and imperforate and pass through a slot in an upper part of a wall 4 of the register to be secured by screws 12. The lower ends of the plates are accommodated in a recess formed between the lower part of the wall 4 and the register frame. In alternative constructions (not shown) the plates may be screwed directly to the inside of the wall or may be secured by S-section spring clips.
