Abstract

In a single-phase transformer, the limbs of several cores A, B, C and D, Fig. 3, pass through the windings and are spaced apart so that cooling fluid may circulate through the space 2a, Fig. 1. The limbs 3 are arranged to occupy the outer part of the core circle. Three such transformers may be arranged to form a threephase arrangement, Fig. 6 (not shown), and they may all be mounted in a single tank.
