Abstract

Superconductive parts, e.g. a wire, of e.g. V3Ga, V3Si, Nb3Sn, Ta3Ga or Nb3Al ar formed by impregnating a porous base of one metal with a fluid or solution of a chemical compound of the other metal e.g. by immersing the base in a solution of a salt e.g. tin hydride and after deposition of the metal, heating in a vacuum or neutral atmosphere at a temperature of e.g. 1200 DEG C.ALSO:Superconductive parts, e.g. a wire, of, e.g., V3Ga, V3Si, Nb3Sn, Ta3Ga, or Nb3Al are formed by impregnating a porous base of one metal with a fluid or solution of a chemical compound of the other metal, e.g. by immersing the base in a solution of a salt, e.g. tin hydride, and after deposition of the metal, heating in a vacuum or neutral atmosphere at a temperature of e.g. 1200 DEG C.
