Abstract

1,093,564. Preventing overturning. W. G. LYNE. June 1, 1966 [Oct. 26, 1965], No. 45382/65. Heading B7D. A safety device for preventing a tractor overturning on sloping ground comprises an arm 2 which extends laterally from the tractor between the front and rear wheels and carries a wheel 5 or a skid for engagement with the ground should the tractor tilt. The arm 2 is pivotally connected to the tractor by a pin 6, and is held in the laterally extending position by a strut 3 secured to the arm by a pin 4 which may alternatively be inserted in an aperture 7 to retain the arm 2 in a raised inoperative position. An arm may be provided on each side of the tractor.
