Abstract
1,093,236. Keyboards. B. STURBA, A. VIVANI, and G. VIVANI. Dec. 17, 1965 [Jan. 16, 1965], No. 53710/65. Heading G5J. Key levers for pianoforte type keyboards are pivoted on the keyboard shaft by members attached to the levers and rotatable on the shaft. The lever body (Fig. 2) formed by bending down sides 2<SP>1</SP> from a flat plate, has two downward projecting flanges 2<SP>1</SP> each bearing a notched lug 3 which engages frictionally with a groove 14a in a roller 11 rotatable on the keyboard shaft (Fig. 3, not shown). Details of three types of roller are given (Figs. 3, 4, 5, not shown). A stop 16 (Fig. 16, not shown), situated in the cavity between surfaces 2, 2<SP>1</SP> and the inwardly-extending ears 4, limits upward and downward motion of the lever. Spring 15, acting between the lever and the keyboard, provides a downward force on the pivoted end of the lever. A downwardly-projecting tongue 6 may be provided to actuate electrical contacts.
