Abstract

Weft knitted fabrics formed from bulked yarns, e.g. false-twist crimped polyhexamethylene adipamide yarn, are treated with not more than 0.5% by weight of a silicone finish to impart thereto improved elastic recovery. The finish may be applied by padding or exhaustion. The treated fabrics may be used in the production of swimwear.
