Abstract
An antimalarial composition comprises a mixture of sulphamethoxypyrazine (2-sulphanilamido-3-methoxy pyrazine) and pyrimethamine (2,4-diamine-5-p-chlorophenyl-6-ethylpyrimidine). The composition may comprise 90 to 99.5 parts by weight of sulphamethoxypyrazine and 10 to 0.5 parts by weight of pyrimethamine. The composition is used orally in the form of tablets (which may be sugar-coated), capsules, pills and solutions and may contain conventional excipients.
