Abstract
1,091,148. Linkwork. PRIESTMAN BROS. Ltd. Oct. 17, 1966 [Nov. 25, 1965], No. 50194/65. Heading F2K. A joystick 15 is pivotally mounted in a bearing 14 in one arm 10 of a bell-crank lever 10, 11 the other arm 11 being connected to a first secondary control rod 13, and is connected to a second secondary control rod 25 by a universal joint member 19 at its lower end. The bell-crank lever 10, 11 comprises a spindle 9 to which the arms 10, 11 are attached, the axis of the spindle 9 being substantially parallel to the length of the joystick when the latter is in the neutral position. The joystick carries a knob 26 at its upper end. When the joystick is moved in a direction transverse to the lever 10, it pivots about its lower end, thereby causing corresponding movement of the bell-crank lever 10, 11 and first secondary control rod 13. Movement of the joystick in a direction perpendicular to the above-mentioned direction causes it to pivot about the bearing 14, thereby effecting corresponding movement of the second secondary control rod 25.
