Abstract
109,087. Pestarini, G. Aug. 29, 1916. Controllers, actuating-mechanism for.-Apparatus for short-circuiting the collecting-rings 2 of an induction motor comprises a shaft 9 which is rotatable by means of a handle 10 and is provided with a portion of a worm 14 engaging in a groove 8 in a sleeve 6 movable axially along the motor shaft 1; the sleeve carries a contact ring 15 which engages contacts 16 connected to the collecting-rings 2. The dotted lines 14<1> and 14" show the limiting positions of the worm out of engage- . ment with the sleeve 6. A pin 17 mounted eccentrically in the collar 13 serves to raise the brushes 3 off the collecting rings when these are short-circuited. The groove 8 may be provided in a ring capable of revolving in a groove on the sleeve.
