Abstract

1,090,617. Prefabricated buildings. TEXAS INDUSTRIES Inc. Feb. 1, 1965 [Feb. 17, 1964], No. 4354/65. Heading E1A. A garage or shed is composed of "room-units" each in the form of a reinforced, cast concrete structure having at least one side provided with reinforcing ribs such as 43. The unit may be made of foam concrete reinforced by metal, wire or rod, mesh and be mounted on concrete beams 2, 3 having a length equal to or more than twice the width of the unit. The roof is substantially tray-like and covered with a layer of cork having a coating of rubberised or bitumenised felt, drainage means 53, 54, 58 being provided as shown. The walls may include a decorative facade 39 and have inclined leading edges 51, 52 in the vicinity of the door. Dimensions are given in the Specn.
