Abstract
1,089,595. Centrifugal pumps. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. July 8, 1966 [July 9, 1965], No.30759/66. Heading F1C. A centrifugal pump for hot and chilled water circulating systems, has a dynamic separating chamber 21, Fig. 3, in which gases move to the centre and flow through an opening 58, a stationarydiffuser 54, 56, 57 and a chamber 51 to a pipe 16 which may be connected to an expansion tank (14), Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown). The gas-free liquid in chamber 51 is drawn through a tube 38 and bores 42 to the suction side of the impeller 29. The impeller is an integral construction comprising front and back plates connected to the boss 35 through blades 46 and to tube 38 through a hexagonal member 37.
