1,088,986. Tunnels; metal sections. BRITISH INDUSTRIAL PLASTICS Ltd. Jan. 13, 1965 [Jan. 27, 1964], No. 3373/64. Headings E1F, E1K and E1W. A fixing unit for the sheets 11 of a tunnel wall, or ceiling lining, comprises a flexible member 1 having a normally flat top portion 2 and webs 3, 4 with longitudinal grooves, and rigid members 6 having webs 8 with longitudinal ribs co-operating with the grooves. The members 6 are fixed directly or by means of brackets (13) to the tunnel, wall or the ceiling by bolts 12. The flexible members may be rubber or plastics, and the rigid members may be aluminium or plastics which are preferably glass reinforced.- The sheets are fixed to the members 6 by adhesive or screws.
