Abstract

An industrial plant lining comprises a composition of an interpolymer of ethylene and propylene with/without another unsaturated monomer which confers unsaturation on the unvulcanized polymer, said interpolymer containing 40 to 69 mole per cent of ethylene units. The other monomer may be an open-chain or ring diolefin, an acetylene or a bridged-ring hydrocarbon. Optional ingredients are extending oils and fillers. The composition may be heat-treated and/or vulcanized with conventional compounding ingredients and finds application as chemical-resistant linings in fume hoods and extractor fans.ALSO:An industrial plant lining comprises a composition of an interpolymer of ethylene and propylene with/without another unsaturated monomer which confers unsaturation on the unvulcanized polymer, said interpolymer containing 40 to 69 mole per cent of ethylene units.
