Abstract

108,646. Yoxall, H. S., and Wadhams, G. March 6, 1917. Driving-chains with separate joint pins.- Locking-plates 8 of the kind which are cut away at 9 so as to be slipped over and engage with circumferential grooves in the pins 4 to retain the detachable side-plate 3 of the connecting-link on the pins, and which are themselves retained in position by spring tongues engaging with the side plates of the link, are provided both with a spring tongue 10 pressed from the metal and with a pressed-up notch 11 adapted to engage with an external projection upon the connecting-link. The type of link shown is that described in Specifications 9162/14 and 105,320.
