A lawn edge trimmer comprises a cutter 1 which is twice angularly deflected to form a transverse cutter part 2 from which horizontal wings 3, 4 project in opposite directions, the parts 2 and 3 serving to guide the implement and the wing 4 having a cutting edge 6 to sever the roots of the turf, the part 2 also,being provided with a cutting edge 5. The wing 3 is bent upwardly as at 8 and may also have a cutting edge 7.
