Abstract

1,084,124. Mobile jib cranes. F. MœLLER. June 4, 1965, No. 23873/65. Heading B8H. In a bucket excavator comprising a jib 1 and a bucket-tipping ram 5, the bucket is replaced by a jib 3, which is pivoted at 3b to a bracket 2 pivotally mounted on the jib 1 and which is connected by a link 4 to the ram 5. The bracket 2 is formed with a flange 2a, to prevent clockwise pivoting about the jib 1 from the position shown, and a link 6 is pivoted between the jib 1 and the ram 5 whereby extension of the ram causes raising of the jib 3. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the jib 3 is formed as a bell-crank lever and the ram 5 is pivotally connected to the shorter arm thereof. In a further modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the jib 3 is pivotally connected directly to the jib 1 and the ram 5 is connected by the link 4 to an extension of the jib 3.
