1,084,019. Bedsteads. COX OF WATFORD Ltd. and C. TOON. June 11, 1965 [Oct. 6, 1964], No. 40773/64. Heading A4J. A hospital bed has a foot frame 6 at the end of a mattress supporting frame 2. The foot frame has arms 5 sliding in tubular cross-pieces 4 which support frame 2. When the foot frame is moved away from the end of a mattress on the bed the bed clothes can be supported between the end of the mattress and the foot frame. Sliding movement of the foot frame 6 is limited by a U-shaped member 7 the base 7b of which comes into contact with the frame 2 to prevent further withdrawal of the arms 5 from their sockets.
