Abstract

Electrically insulating paper is made by sticking together with an adhesive several intermediates. The intermediates are made under conditions for making a paper of a thickness from 0.025 mm to 0.07 mm, and are dried to a water content of 100% or less, based on the fibre, before being stuck together. The adhesive may be applied over the whole adhesion surface, or in dots or lines only. The intermediates may be of different kinds. Power-transmission cables may be insulated by lapping with the insulating paper of the invention.
