Drawing. - T h e glass is drawn from within a ring 6, the lower edge of which is inclined to the horizontal so that the metal enters from different depths in the tank. Thus by turning the ring so that its lowest point is in the hotter portions of the molten mass it is possible to equalise the temperature of the glass within the ring.
