Abstract
A hair lacquer preparation comprising a homo- or co-polymer of an N-vinyl-N-(C1- 8 hydrocarbon substituted) acetamide dissolved in a quick-drying organic solvent, e.g. an alkenol, which is compatible with fluorinated hydrocarbon propellant, e.g. trichlorofluoromethane and dichloro-difluoromethane, which may also be added. Further additives include plasticizers, e.g. dimethyl phthalate or glycerol monoricinoleate, lanolin derivatives, perfumes or dyes.ALSO:A low lacquer preparation may contain either a homopolymer of an N-vinyl-N-(C1- 8 hydrocarbon substituted) acetamide or at least one interpolymer of an N-vinyl-N-(C1- 8 hydrocarbon substituted) acetamide with at least one copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer, the polymers having an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.04 to 1.0 dl/g. in benzene at 25 DEG C. Exemplified copolymers are with vinyl acetate. The hair lacquers are formulated by dissolving the polymers in a quick-drying organic liquid, e.g. an alcohol, which is compatible with fluorinated hydrocarbon propellants, e.g. trichlorofluoromethane and dichlorodifluoromethane. Other additives such as plasticizers, e.g. dimethyl phthalate or glycerol monoricinoleate, lanolin derivatives, perfumes or dyes.ALSO:A hair laquer preparation comprises a homo or copolymer of an N-vinyl-N- (C1-8 hydrocarbon substituted) acetamide dissolved in a quick drying organic solvent, e.g. an alkanol which is compatible with fluorinated hydrocarbon propellants, e.g. trichloro fluoromethane and dichloro difluoromethane, which may also be added. Further additives include plasticizers, e.g. dimethyl phthalate or glycerol monoricinoleate, lanolin derivatives, perfumes or dyes.
