Abstract

1,081,603. Incinerators. BUSS A.G. Oct. 15, 1964 [Oct. 17, 1963], No. 42194/64. Heading F4B. A refuse incinerator 1 comprises a base 2 for receiving rubbish in a heap 7 with natural gradient which has been pushed into the combustion area 16 off a conveyer 23 by pushers 24. Air for combustion is supplied through a vent 15 via a space 13 between outer and inner covers 11, 12 of the incinerator. Burner 25 is employed to ignite the refuse, and waste products exhaust through channel 5 on the opposite side of the combustion area from the refuse feed. The air supply is pre-heated and is arranged to pass over and dry the refuse while it is on the conveyer.
