Abstract

An adhesive composition comprises (a) a chlorinated P.V.C containing 61-66% by wt. of chlorine, (b) polychloroprene, (c) a nitrile rubber and (d) an organic solvent, the weight ratio of (a) : (b) + (c) being 1-8:4 and of (b) : (c) being 2:1-20. The nitrile rubber is a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer. The solvent is preferably methyl ethyl ketone or a mixture thereof with toluene and forms 70-80% by wt. of the total composition; alternatively there may be used an ester, methylene chloride or tetrahydrofuran.
