Abstract

1,080,894. Winding and paying-out apparatus. TRANSPODEMMASCH. Oct. 26, 1964, No. 43517/64. Heading B8B. A winch for an electrotelpher having a main electric motor 18 and a planet reduction gear 1 mounted in alignment on opposite sides of a rope drum 9, may be fitted with a micro hoist mechanism and an additional brake. The casing of the reduction gear 1 is used for internal toothing and the drum 9 is formed of bent and welded sheet steel. The drive shaft 8 of the motor 18 and an input shaft 3 of the reducer 1 are coupled by a flexible coupling 6. A pinion 16 on theshaft 3 drives the planetgearing, the last stage 5 of which is splined to a coupling 4 which is also splined to a part 10 of the drum 9. The casing of the reducer 1 is bolted to the drum casing 7 and the coupling 4 is mounted therein by ball bearings 13 in an inner end cover 2 of the reducer. The input shaft 3 is supported in ball-bearings 12 in the couplings 4 and 14, the latter being mounted in an outer end cover 15 of the reducer. The drum is therefore mounted in ball-bearings 13 via coupling 4 and in another bearing 19 mounted on a cover 17 bolted to both the drum casing 7 and the main motor casing. The drum 9 has a helical groove for the rope 20, which is guided thereon by a mechanism 22 and the end of the rope passes through a hole in the end of the drum, into a ring channel 21 where screws secure the end. The main motor 18 has a shifting conical rotor and embodies a conical brake 23. The micro hoisting or inching mechanism, Figs. 2a/2b (not shown) comprises a motor and reduction gear, which may be coaxial and parallel with spaced axes and may be secured to the end of the main motor (18) and coupled by means of the conical brake (23) engaging a friction cone in the mechanism. The additional brake, Figs. 3a/3b (not shown) is a magnetic jaw brake including a shaft which is bolted to the reduction gear (1) when the end cover (15) and shaft (3) are dismantled.
