Abstract

Arsenious NiN - dialkyldithiocarbamates, suitably of the formula [R2NC(S)S]3As, where R is an alkyl group, may be used as lubricating oil additives.ALSO:Arsenious N:N-dialkyldithiocarbamates are obtained by reacting together arsenic trioxide, carbon disulphide and a dialkylamine. The product may have the general formula [R2NC(S)S]3As, where R is an alkyl group, and the dialkylamine starting material may be a mixture of two or more different dialkylamines.
