Abstract

1,079,328. Endless conveyers. A. T. ZAPPIA, and M. O. BOUGH. March 29, 1966, No. 13763/66. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F2] Hot glassware 12 is transferred from an endless belt conveyer 11 to a lehr conveyer 10 by a pusher bar 54. The latter has movement in a rectangular path, there being a dwell at each comer of the rectangle. The bar 54 is connected at each end to a member 52 which is rigid with a rectangular-shaped block 45. The latter carries wheels 47-50 which engage a rectangular-shaped trackway 20-23. The block 45 is freely journalled on a stud (44), (Figs. 3 and 6, not shown), carried by an arm 40 which is rigidly connected at (67) with a transmission chain 37. The latter is disposed about sprockets 33-36 driven by a gear 59. The arm 40 is guided by laterally offset rollers (69), (71) which engage respective trackways (76), (79), (Figs. 3, 4 and 5, not shown). The latter are formed with circular undercut portions which co-operate in maintaining engagement between each roller and its associated track throughout the whole of the travel around each corner of the rectangular path of the block 45. A second block 55 and an associated pusher 58 (corresponding respectively to block 45 and pusher 54) are mounted at the diametrically opposite side of trackway 20-23.
