Abstract

Water-free, water-dispersible tile grouts or fixatives comprise a liquid epoxy resin, a curing agent, a filler, a pigment and a wetting agent. Specified are: epoxy resins based on bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin; curing agents-polyamides and triethylenetetramine; non-ionic wetting agents; fillers-ground malachite, sand, fused silica, glass and alumina, slate powder, talc, barytes and china clay; and as a pigment-TiO2. In preferred embodiments the compositions are obtained by mixing (1) two components either of which contains the wetting agent comprising (a) the pigment, the epoxy resin and some of the filler, and (b) the curing agent on the rest of the filler, or (2) three components consisting of (a) the epoxy resin, pigment and wetting agent, (b) the curing agent and (c) the filler.
