Abstract

A nailable structure or part thereof is made by bonding together two or more different wood-wool/cement mixtures. In one of the mixtures the wood-wool is first reduced so that the length of majority of the shavings does not exceed 1 inch, and preferably does not exceed 1/4 inch. The reduced material is then mixed with cement and water and allowed to set. The wet mixture is preferably consolidated by vibration before setting. Sawdust may be added to the mixture. Waste wood-wool/cement material may be reduced and mixed with cement with or without sawdust and hence converted into nailable material.
