Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A device for breaking up the coke in a coking chamber comprises a cutting head for attachment to a drill string and a dislocating head for replacing the cutting head to break up the coke after a hole has been drilled through it. 'The cutting `head, 'Fig. 2, comprises -an axial turbine driving cutter blades 16, the exhaust from the turbine being fed to axially and laterally directed-nozzles 15, 15a to assist in cutting the coke. The dislocating head has a number of water jets, coaxial sleeves in the nozzles reducing turbulence in the issuing jets.
