Abstract

A washing agent having a bleaching effect contains a compound capable of releasing chlorine in cold water, and an enveloped per-compound which is released in aqueous phase at 40-70 DEG C. The percompound is enveloped by water-insoluble, nitrogen-containing ester- or amide-type condensation products of fatty acids free from hydroxyl groups, or of C8- 26 hydroxyfatty acids and ammonia, C1- 6 alkyl-amines or C2- 6 alkylolamines. Specified chlorine-releasing compounds are hypochlorites, hypochlorite-phosphate adducts, and N-chloro compounds of organic nature. Specified percompounds are perborates and perhydrates of the pyro- and tripolyphosphates. Other agents that may be present include anionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants, alkaline and/or neutral salts, complex formers and foam regulators, and many such are specified.
