Abstract

In a machine for producing cut or loop pile fabrics the work-supporting plate is adjustable vertically to vary the depth of pile. The plate is supported on a bracket (74, Fig. 2, not shown) having racks (84) fixed thereto and engaging gears on a manually rotatable shaft (66). The needles may be adjusted vertically to clear the raised backing. An indicator (98) records the amount of the elevation of the plate.
