Abstract

1,077,702. Switches held set and freed mechanically; retractive switches. L'ISOSTAT. Oct. 11, 1965 [Oct. 14, 1964], No. 43041/65. Heading H2B. A switch as disclosed in Specifications 1,054,915 and 1,054,914 is modified by providing the shorter limb of the moving contact with a curved portion (24) to act as a rocking pivot (Figs. 2 to 4, not shown) on the sliding carrier (8). A correspondingly curved hollow (26) may locate the contact member longitudinally (Fig. 5, not shown), or the curved portion may be concave to the carrier (8) and seat on a curved boss (18) at the base of the recess (16) (Fig. 6, not shown). The fixed contacts are given pointed ends (Fig. 7, not shown) by dipping in a solder bath (Fig. 8, not shown) to facilitate their assembly to a printed-circuit board.
