Abstract

1,077,585. Waveband switches. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. Aug. 14, 1964 [Sept. 11, 1963], No. 33158/64. Heading H3Q. A waveband switch for resonant circuits in receivers (e.g. a turret tuner) has components of the circuit resiliently attached by leaf springs to a movable part of the switch, two switch contacts being rigidly attached to the component. In Fig. 2 a number of alternative inductors (only one shown, 35) are mounted in compartments in a rotating drum 29, the inductors being attached to insulating mountings 31 which in turn are joined to a radial wall 33 of the drum by a leaf spring 32. Contact 27 is also mounted on the insulator 31 and engages a fixed contact 24. The drum can be held in the desired position by a detent. A cam can be provided (Fig. 3, not shown) to increase the pressure between the contacts against the action of the spring. The drum may be divided longitudinally if it is desired to switch several circuits simultaneously. The invention is also applicable to sliding instead of rotating switches.
