Abstract

A washing machine has an inertia balancing weight (55) mounted in the non-rotatable tub which surrounds the spin basket, the balancing weight being completely surrounded by a clamping ring (56). The non rotating tub is mounted on brace members (32) which are part of a frame having a base (31) which rests on a dome (17) to pivotally support the operating unit. A motor (26) operates a pump (27) to empty the tub and drives an agitator (24) with an oscillating movement and also drives the spin drying basket. p
