Abstract
107,690. Tinley Bros., and Tinley, H. W. Aug. 21, 1916. Fenders.-The rail supports are formed as chilled-iron castings which are cast with iron or steel bars or rods in their structure and detachably fixed to the top face of the base frame. As shown in Fig. 1, the front and end rails have chilled supports A, A' cast on them. A single support at the corner may serve for both front and side rails, and the central chill C may form a support. The supports may be cast on vertical rods or tubes 2, Fig. 1, or F, Fig. 3, or they may consist wholly of chilled castings cast on the rails; they may carry a single rail as shown in Fig. 3.
