Abstract

1,074,712. Gusseted paper sacks. WILLIAM PALFREY Ltd. May 4, 1966 [May 17, 1965], No. 20819/65. Heading B8K. A paper sack, closed at one end by sewing (6), has a portion (la) of a side gusset (1) greater in width than an adjacent portion (1b) so that a trapezoidal cross-section is formed when the sack is opened. A folded strip (5) is placed over the one end of the sack, to which it is secured by transversely sewing at (6). The sack may be formed from a bag tube of one or more plies.
